Patty wants you to know that she has tested positive for FIV - Feline Immunodeficiency Virus - which means that her immune system is weakened and she is more prone to infections and other types of illnesses than she otherwise would be. There is no cure for FIV; however, many cats live for years without ever developing any full-blown disease and enjoy a great quality of life. FIV cannot be spread to humans but it can be spread to other cats via a bite, so Patty needs to find a home where she is the only cat or where there are only other FIV+ cats in the household. She also needs to strictly be an indoor-only cat. If you have room in your home and heart for a positively AWESOME cat, Patty just may be the one for you!

Through the month of April all FIV+ cat adoption fees (that includes me!) are waived for approved applicants.
