Accessibility is Essential

What is our language/ACCESSIBILITY toolbar “recite me”?

This easy-to-use software includes options like text-to-speech, customizable styling features, reading aids, a translation tool and many other features to tailor our website experience to your liking. This toolbar works across all devices, giving everyone the opportunity to use the internet the way that it’s intended.

Why did Columbus Humane include language/ACCESSIBILITY on our website?

Approximately 61 million (24%) of adults in the United States have a disability and can often face barriers when visiting inaccessible websites that prevent them from taking an active part in life. Incorporating accessibility features into the Columbus Humane website contributes to our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in our community.

Accessibility Statement

Columbus Humane believes that everyone should have the opportunity to be able to access online content, regardless of disability or difference in spoken language. Everyone should be able to navigate the internet in the way it is intended and through a way that works best for them.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Columbus Humane

For Columbus to be truly humane, all of our friends, neighbors and families must have these freedoms and they simply do not. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Work Group at Columbus Humane was created in an effort do our part to make Columbus Humane. That means recognizing bias, extinguishing injustice, defending victims of cruelty and holding each other accountable for our actions. Read more about our efforts below.
